Why Larry Bird was the Greatest!

Larry Bird, the greatest basketball player of all time, with just seconds to go in the final game of the 1980 NBA Championship, was in a team huddle with coach K.C. Jones when Larry said, “just get me the ball and get out of the way”.  Coach Jones retorted, “Larry, I’m the coach and I call the plays”.  KC called the play – GET LARRY THE BALL AND GET OUT OF THE WAY.”

They did and, as had happened so many times before, Larry got the ball, scored at the final buzzer to win the championship that year!

During the post-game analysis one of the commentators asked, “what makes Larry Bird consistently perform at such a high level”?

The other analyst simply answered, “He is just so FUNDAMENTALLY SOUND”.

He knew the fundamentals of his trade, practiced them and brought that knowledge and experience to excel at every opportunity

At National Carpet Cleaning we understand that consistently performing at the highest level requires knowledge of the trade and a dedication to the fundamentals.

That is what is important to know about us.  Most web sites give long dissertations about cleaning methods, equipment and cleaning agents.  IF that’s what you want, I give seminars by appointment or you could join us on a technician training school.

But the wisest thing to do is – give us the ball and get out of the way.
